Locations for filming

I have chosen this image as it is the most isolated area that I could find, cover by trees and bushes and at a lower level as it is a train station. I believe that this will be a good location to film as there will be no people around, or traffic. As we want to give the impression that our character has been left in a secluded place, where no one can hear them cry for help.
This a good location to film as it is a car park at the back of a Co-operative supermarket. This means that there will be few people in the evenings. Also there is a small area around the back where the large bins are, so this would be a nice place to film or opening sequence. As well as this we can use the light that comes from the surrounding lamp posts.
The picture that I have selected here is the car park connecting the Tesco Supermarket and the Tesco garage. This would be an okay location to film as it is also a fairly isolated area, however there will be cars coming through the garage continuously. However there are several small back roads round the corner from here, so we could use them if needs be.

The Silence Of The Lambs

Titles
The opening sequence to The Silence Of The Lambs is very long and contains nearly all of the roles you would expect in the film. We see MGM and Orion at the start of the sequence so we know that they are the two main distributers of the film. Also in the sequence we have the title of the film which has been written in bold capital letters so that it stands out to the audinece. The colours used and the font style comes across as being dark and serious, so we assume that the film will be quite dark and serious. The order of the titles are in order of importance from most to least with the actors, then the least to most with the crew.

Editing/Sound
The editing of this opening sequence is very slow paced. This is very different to the rest of the film, as it is very fast. I believe they do this to trick the audience into believing that the film is a slow paced film. The sound goes very well with the editing, as the music is also very slow paced.

Mise En Scene
Within the shots we can see that the female character is by her self which makes her vulnerable. Also she is isolated as she is in the middle of the woods all by her self. As well as this there is a part when she is in the elevator with about  8 other male characters, this makes her seem even more vulnerable.

Cinematography
All of the shots are normally average mid shots, with very few close ups. This makes the opening sequence very average, and not different. This could make the audience lose concentration, and stop watching the movie.
