What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Whilst creating this product i have had to learn and practice how to use new technologies that i have not used before.
In order to make my blog super-visual i needed to learn how to use new softwares that enabled me to present my information in creative and unique ways. For example, i used software such as; Prezzi which allowed me to create an interactive powerpoint when talking about conventions of an opening sequence, slide rocket, embedding youtube videos onto my blog and using screencast to speak over the footage that is on the screen. All of these things can be embedded onto my blog.
During the planning and creating of the opening sequence i have been able to use new pieces of software and enhance my skills with hardware. The hardware that i have used are the cameras, tripods and the macs. I have used these before, however i have learnt how to use them to their full potential. I was able to build up my knowledge of the macs by using new software such as iMovie, Photoshop and Livetype. Photoshop enabled me and my group to create our company logo, whilst we used iMovie to edited our opening sequence together.

Question 7
From looking back at my preliminary task i can see that i have learnt many new techniques, such as camera work, mise en scene and editing.
I have improved with my camera by being able to use and try many different types of camera techniques and angles.
For instance, when filing my preliminary task I used basic mid and long shots, and found that we broke the 180 degree rule, which made the video seem basic and amateur. However when filming my opening sequence to a thriller movie, i made sure we used a wide range of techniques. Such as Close ups, high and low angles, match on action and e did not break the 180 degree rule. Using these techniques helped the to make the opening sequence professional and more interesting to the audience.
I have improved with my mise en scene a significant amount, as when looking back at my preliminary task i could see that the shots were framed very poorly, as the frae was covered in a lot of free space, and we hadn't thought at all about the things that were going to be in the shot. On the other hand, whilst filming the opening sequence we concentrated a lot more on the mise en scene. For example, the shots in the car park are used to show the isolation of the attacked character, we did this by having shots of the empty car park, creating that eerie and spooky atmosphere.
When editing my preliminary task together, there was not much effort towards making the clips seem seamless, which resulted in the video being jumpy and having only a few smooth cuts. However when editing my opening sequence there was a lot of time and effort in creating as smooth cuts as possible, resulting in the film flowing smoothly and seeming seamless.
